Then Meet Dr Sadashiva Iyer ( head of palliative and pain management, Manipal) *prema, sathish, rajani visited banaswadi anjaneyar temple today. evening 545 pm – vennai alankaaram*, full 2 kg of vennai taken and will be distributed to everyone soon. also tulasi. amma did poojai energetically, kept having kanji every few mins but ok – she did full pradakshana of all gods in temple. just returned. amma did archanai for wellbeing of everyone – all friends and relatives slept ok. only problem during waking time – suddenly feels very tired, then gets ok, again v tired etc. So always needs to keep eating something – kanji, mix fruit juice, watery mosuranna etc. so her health condition changes from one end to another, sometimes even in 5 minutes *Manipal hospital visit today afternoon – main points – dr poonam and dr vadiraja (radiotherapist)* 1. like corona virus, few cancer cells may have escaped chemo 7 years back. so they have now come to life and have spread across body 2. mainly in spinal cord and in pelvic bone ( waist bone). also lot of spread in lungs. small spread in brain region. 3. with biopsy, we have now identified exact type of cancer cells(ER+,PR- Her2Nue-). so our treatment plan will be against that type. Seven years back, the cancer cell type was different (ER+,PR+). 4. So we will give some heavy injections ( both sub-muscular and sub-cutaneous) every 15 days and every month for rest of her life 5. also we will give 3 medicines for daily ( hormone treatment) 6. to start, we will give “Radiation to spine”. So, tomorrow onwards ( 16th Sept onwards), we will start radiation treatment. *Sathish is taking her to Manipal at 9 am, Saturday. Next 10-15 days we need to take her daily i think* 7. After Radiation completed, we will meet Dr Poonam for next advice. ———- *Doctor answer to questions* 1. No need chemo at this stage. Will not help. 2. We cant say how long patient will live.Like you, we also want “quality of life” and not “quantity”. So, question is useless. 3. For weight loss and no hunger, i will give one medicine – let her have it daily. Let us see. 4. For other issues she is facing, let her have her current medicines ( eg restyl for sleep, cremaffin for constipation etc). and she can have all her existing medicines ( bp, sugar, thyroid, neuro etc) 5. Pain management doctor – you can meet her later after radiation is over. For back pain, she can use “Lumbar support belt also” 6. If you want to try other medicine systems, eg ayurveda, your wish. But i dont know anything about it. Also, 1 advice. You can have leaf or root etc ( something u can see), but not powder. Please. 7. Yes, if she can manage, she can go to Tirupathi for a day. 8. About hearing loss, not specifically connected to cancer or her medicines.
