sundar 28/03/2026, Rajkot. It was a productive evening at Rajkot. After arriving just past 4 pm on the only direct 6E flight from BLR. Suresh-bhai (Uber taxi) dropped me at The Fern Residency (by Marriott), checked-in, rested for a while, freshened up and had a cup of chai at the local tea place (localites have a very small portion of chai in a saucer, apparently as it cools faster and can be had quickly!!). Went to Dharmendar road, main market place of Rajkot city, the school in which Mahatma Gandhi studied is now a nice museum (missed, closes at 6 pm). Enjoyed the wide variety of gujju snacks (nashta as it’s locally known) – Spicy dabeli at Dhamabhai breadwala, fresh vadapav at the famous Raghuvanshi vadapavwala and for the first time enjoyed ghugra-s at reputed Ishwarbhai Gughrawala, before finally rounding it off at Rasikbhai chevdawala
