- 8c I agree that we are in a very unfortunate situation of the association having to face a legal notice from select residents (I second Sesh’s ask to the MC to please share the legal notice without name redaction). A recurring theme seems to be perceived loss in value of property and objection to that… when Jain heights was built, the homes who had towering structures come up behind them would have lost light, privacy, circulation which they did not expect…. can and did they protest to BBMP for sanctioning Jain heights. Similarly when the petrol pump came up. Similarly when 130 villas got increased to 200 with phase 2 and roads/club facilities (with disproportionate additions) got shared with 200 homes and I was one of the original 130… am I entitled to protest (and serve legal notice while I am at it) to the world at large because I lost value and road space…. seriously, where does this end?? Feeling very disappointed that we are living in times where collaboration on this issue has become impossible and we are dealing with legal notices instead of finally finding a solution —– 91101166 – ventura account number — Directory Opus for Windows! What is my eligibility towards this surgery, as per my policy details ? How much will the TPA reimburse / provide from your side ? — esponse to nalini – hut it is not going thry Hi, As recent entrants to vista and with no past baggage (or any old axe to grind), we feel disappointed that the current focus is now on getting this “list-of-renegades” into the open, rather than a categorical and immediate commitment by the MC to nullify the poll/resolution process, and instead re-attempt a dialogue. Honestly, while buying a place, one does factor future highrises coming up next door, certainly not a Raja Kaluve going past your front-yard (especially when due diligences have been made). And if some of us are ruing the fact that we did not protest enough with Adarsh when they increased the villa nos etc (15 years back), our “small group” fully echoes that sentiment – we just dont want our future generation to hold us responsible for not protesting enough on the RK alignment in 2021 ! —- Dear MC 2021, 1. We are (Sathish/Vijay) who have recently purchased villas at Adarsh Vista, and are also part of the “Group-of-10” who have objected to the resolution. 2. Towards buying our villas, we had done legal due diligence, with the help of village maps and surveys, which showed the Raja Kaluve in its original path. We also did on-ground diligence, including noting the existing markings. 3. Assuming that many years of prior discussions pre-dated the original markings themselves, we are devastated by the sudden developments, where we are now told that the Raja Kaluve alignment is now proposed to be changed to flow right next to our houses. 4. We are deeply worried about health impact of the same – sewage, rodents etc. We are equally worried about financial impact with immediate diminished values. We are also worried about long-term marketability of our villa, with the new alignment becoming official. 5. We acknowledge the general support from the community from the time we moved in a few months back. In contrast, during this small time-frame of one week, we get the feeling that the MC is acting in haste, in bias, that the resolution is a fait-accompli. 7. As newcomers, we are extremely anxious now. And our emotions are no less strong than a few others (who will possibly be affected by the previous routing). And this anxiety is also compounded by the fact that the entire community (including every single member of the MC, unless they have privately abstained) is against the group-of-10 (as per poll results). At the same time, we look forward to engage, meet, reach and be reached out to, so that sooner or later, all of us arrive at the best solution suitable for both us individually and for the community. Thanks and warm regards, Sathish(150A)/Vijay(145) —- sathish-9886730012
Attachments Fri, 14 May 2021, 09:54 to smb i am banned from using whatsapp. i just wanted to send covid19 alerts to my community, and for the first time in my life i tried to validate their mobile numbers so that i cud send them messages — my daughter had ordered this order an hour back (from her mobile-99864-69659) in the middle of eating, we realised that one of the boxes is CHICKEN. we are pure vegetarians, and we intend to take up this complaint very seriously with ur senior management. my mobile no is 98867-30012, name is sathish. pl call me urgently —- uma18@es22.com - 8c dear lakshmi sir, i have done all the entries required, and have sent for your verification and advice. pl note – only those credit entries from 1/4/19 to 31/3/20, have been taken. 1. prema indian bank – she gets family pension here 2. prema union bank – she gets personal pension here 3. prema uco bank – she has some deposits (capital gains ones) – so she gets interest here 4. there is no other source of income for prema 5. her pension incomes are reflected in the bank statements and her deposit interest income is reflected in form 26As. so i have also attached her form 26AS. 6. as per my calculations, her income is Rs 5.28 lakhs approx. But she has many deductions (listed in the excel file). Also, she has already paid TDS of Rs 9K for the UCO Bank deposit. 7. so i feel that rather than paying any further tax, she needs to apply for refund from IT. ————- Whenever it is convenient for you, pl inform. i will visit your office and complete the formalities / modify calculations etc, and then file her returns. *once again sorry for presenting things at the last-minute. really sorry.* attachments a. prema form 26AS for FY 19-20 b. excel entry and calculation sheet for FY 19-20 22 Jan,2021 06:00 AM Booking ID 13329 Outstation Round Trip ESI Hospital, 7th Main Road, Appareddipalya, Indiranagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India Estimated Price Rs.6750 Base Fare/Included Km : 694Km ₹6750 Additional fare/Km (beyond included Km) ₹8/KM Discount Price: -₹0 Estimated Fare : ₹6750 ——————- My questions : 1. We will start trip only at Friday 6 am and return by 10 pm max on Sunday. So NO night extra bata, please 2. Shwetha Mam gave me a further 3% discount. So final net price is Rs (0.97*6750) = Rs 6547. Pl confirm this. 3. Any km usage above 750 km – u will charge me Rs 8 per km. 4. I will only have to pay for toll and parking charges. 5. Deepam has an offer running where “inter-state tax charges” are not charged to customer. pl confirm this ——– dear citi (attn :Ms Bobby) 1. i had poured out my heart to write a detailed mail explaining specific aspects of my inability to service the “usurious” interest rates charged at ur end, and all i get is a “templated” response after 4 days. 2. it is clear that no one bothered to even go thru my mail. there is NO reference to its contents. rather, the email response is absolutely template-formatted (it could have been sent to any financially distressed customer). 3. the mail is from a “noreply” email id and signed by one “john isaac paul”. no call, no attempt to reach out, no nothing 4. let me re-stress – i dont have a proper job for last many years, and have not filed ITR as well. u may check with my pan – AQXPS6614F. 5. i have spoken to a few old friends of mine. all their banks have helped them esp given current covid times. a few of them have waived interest COMPLETELY for a nine-month period. even citi, i am told, has helped those customers who have called and asked for help. 6. even ur front-line citiphone officers regularly waive off mundane items like late fees, interest fees etc if someone calls them. and here i have an email from some “head-customer care” which is a MERE PLATITUDINOUS MESSAGE ! 7. i have been advised by friends to approach ombudsmen / media houses / financial watch-dogs / publications like moneylife etc and bring the 43.5% interest rate to public domain. though it is a clearly contracted rate (and which a credit card holder signs up for), the fact remains that it is extremely high, and completely one-sided. hence makes good media headlines. 8. of course, prior to all that, i will approach the “principal.nodal.officer@citi.com” for final internal resolution. 9. when Ms bobby called me 10 days back, i was under a false impression that citi wants to sincerely close my case. they came up with a 30% principal waiver by themselves, without even my asking. and when i am giving a counter-offer that i DONT NEED YOUR WAIVER, this is ur response! the least u cud have done is to take my offer of full principal payment, and provide waiver of interest charges to the extent of the 30% waiver ! (which makes things equal for citi). even this simplest of things – the templated email did not do ! just shows the extent to your insincere response ! 10. citi / emi team can call me anytime. i am in kanyakumari district (place called nagercoil) and connectivity is good here, no issues. if no resolution between us, i will happily let the matter to dust, and later on, take it up on various public channels and fora available to all of us today. —- hi shaji (citi-blr) (also ccing this to the head.customercare id for their reference) thanks for ur call 3 hrs back. am glad that someone in flesh and blood from citi local region has reached out. as i said, i am not getting adquate response to my overtures sent to your HO id. neither has Ms babitha (or bobby) called me back. i live in singarapettai in krishnagiri dist, about 200 km from blr. but shall be happy to come down to blr at a day’s notice and COMPLETELY SETTLE my liability with citi and bid goodbye, if only your esteemed organisation can take some pain to understand WHAT EXACTLY is my pain-point. for ur consumption, pl see the full trial of communication, which will help us with the way forward. in sequence : message 1 followed by message 2 ———- Message 1 – 29 Jan 2021 dear citibank, ref : card no = 4386-2800-3357-2961 name : N Sathish mobile = 98867-30012 and email id=s@es22.com background 1. citi card holder for last 20 years. also had two add-on cards. avg monthly billing between Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakhs every single month ! 2. apart from card usage, have also taken atleast 4 “loan on card” from citi last 10 years. all of them paid succesfully, the last one is currently running. i have also bought citi agency products (car insurance for a few years, then your health insurance – which is running even now). 3. mom’s cancer illness in 2016 – citi helped me with a few months waiver at that time. i had documented and submitted medical records too at that time 4. mom cancer relapsed in feb 2019 – (22 months back). so from that time i have been struggling to repay my outstandings. 5. between feb 2019 and jan 2021 (today), have tried my best to make intermittent payments, whenever some funds came my way 6. but to aggravate matters, i lost all my sources of revenue during lockdown, and have been unable to make even small payments the last few months 7. i did call citi on atleast 2-3 occasions the last 21 months, explained my problems, and tried to take waiver on interest payment. but somehow did not find sympathetic ears (pl check all the reference nos generated in the last 12 months). after lockdown, i gave up attempt to call situation 8. as u know today my card is blocked. even i dont wish to continue my 20-yr relationship with your bank 9. i owe the bank money. both for my card purchases/transactions, and for the “principal outstanding” of my personal unsecured loan 10. i am happy and ready to do a 1-shot settlement with the bank and say goodbye to you. i have sold my only possession (an old car) and some household items and hence have necessary funds to be able to do this 1-shot settlement 11. i have been going thru the last 22 months citicard statements and sheerly horrified. though i am aware of this, the 42% per annum interest charges, plus the late fees, plus the igst taxes etc, all of which cumulatively get carried forward, have inflated my outstanding balance, beyond imagination. and even more horrifying, this 42% increased to 43.5 % when lockdown started ! (upward revision). A rate of 50% interest per annum is shylock-style money-lending, no less ! my proposal 12. last week, Ms bobby (from mumbai collections/recovery team) got in touch with me. her proposal was : one-shot settlement, and she will waive off 30% of my oustanding principal on my loan. as per her calculations (i am not aware of the calculation details and line items), her initial offer has been 2.78 lakhs all-encompassing (purchases+interest charges+outstanding principal). she stressed about citi’s generous 30% waiver of principal. 13. my counter offer is this – I DONT WANT CITI’S PRINCIPAL WAIVER. i am happy to repay my principal IN FULL, IMMEDIATELY. all i ask is – pl reverse the 43% per annum interest charges that u have been levying on my card purchases (and the accompanying late fees etc). i shall most gladly pay up immediately. 14. i am sure your team can also do the same, but to help you out, i have picked up the set of interest charges foisted on me, month by month, and given below, for imm reference. needless to say 15. in case citi does not accept this humble proposal of mine, i am happy to let my account remain delinquent. i have retired to a village life in rural tamilnadu (where i no longer need a credit card). i also dont plan to take any loan in future, so no CIBIL fear as well. I have moved away from bangalore, so physically citi or its agents will not able to reach me to negotiate in person. but most important – i feel that i am being fair and ethical, because all i ask is : remove my “usurious” interest charges – and i am happy to pay citi in full and close my account, without needing your largesse. 16. i also want to repeat a point : u can realise from my last 2 years statements that i have always had an INTENT TO PAY, whenever my finances have permitted. every now and then, i have made payments. Bonus : I also understand that my card has huge “reward points” balance (about 8000 points i think). pl feel free to plough that back while giving me your final offer. interest and other bank charges from jan 2019 on my card (for ur quick reference) [late payment charges, interest, igst] Jan-19-950,9047,3234 Feb-19-250,10749,3313 (cash payment and not late fee because i paid at ur counter) Mar-19-950,7376,2820 Apr-19-0,6745,2488 May-19-0,4977,2118 Jun-19-950,6058,2460 Jul-19-0,1435,1461 Aug-19-950,3197,1882 Sep-19-950,5192,2198 Oct-19-950,2748,1752 Nov-19-950,4422,1952 Dec-19-0,400,1014 Jan-20-950,2384,1520 Feb-20-0,2092,1261 Mar-20-950,1647,1316 Apr-20-950,1961,794 May-20-950,3993,901 Jun-20-0,2496,1291 Jul-20-0,,797 Aug-20-0,2446, Sep-20-0,3580,1398 Oct-20-950,3820,1574 Nov-20-950,5838,1882 Dec-20-950,5537,1786 Jan-21-0,7092,2005 ————————– Total late fees collected in last 22 months = Rs 13550 Total interest collected = Rs 105232 Total IGST collected = Rs 43217 —————————– i only hope that citi takes a holistic view of my case and offers me a deal which is fair to both our sides, and makes it a WIN-WIN. regards, sathish ———- message 2 : feb 2, 2021 shaji.rover@gmail.com, saju.j@citi.com head.customercare@citi.com hi shaji (citi-blr) (also ccing this to the head.customercare id for their reference) thanks for ur call 3 hrs back. am glad that someone in flesh and blood from citi local region has reached out. as i said, i am not getting adquate response to my overtures sent to your HO id. neither has Ms babitha (or bobby) called me back. i live in singarapettai in krishnagiri dist, about 200 km from blr. but shall be happy to come down to blr at a day’s notice and COMPLETELY SETTLE my liability with citi and bid goodbye, if only your esteemed organisation can take some pain to understand WHAT EXACTLY is my pain-point. for ur consumption, pl see the full trial of communication, which will help us with the way forward — Dear Saju, as u know i am in chennai and dont have access to the medical file which is in my village ( i was just carrying 2-3 papers here to meet the consultant here for advice). but i wanted to close the citi matter with no further delay – hence am sending u 2 sample doc records for ur ref, plus a chronological description of events. 1. during 2015, my mom was diagnosed with stage 4c breast cancer. we immediately went for aggressive treatment, which included the following : two surgeries, 12 rounds of in-hospital major chemotherapy, 6 rounds of minor chemotherapy (18 rounds of chemotherapy totally), 60 sessions of radiotherapy This took about 2 years time. During this period, i had missed paying my citi full dues a few times, and citi waived some of the interest charges. i had sent the medical records to citi as well then. Just as an aside, the total treatment cost i had incurred during that time was close to Rs 35 lakhs. You may see many Manipal hospital payments in my statements. A lot was funded also thru cash from my relatives etc. Also it may interest you to note that i had taken a Health Cover thru Citi (5 lakhs, New India) right from 2012. So this came in handy for 2015 and 2016, and i have availed the full 5 L benefit for both the years. The surgery was done by Dr Shabbhir Zaveri at Manipal-Indiranagar, and post-cancer treatment is handled by Dr Poonam Patil. 2. in 2017-end, as a result of all this aggressive treatment, she also developed neurological problems. She used to faint regularly, and had a few episodes of fits. So we started consulting with Dr Pramod Krishnan, Manipal-Blr. Though he recommended surgery for this, we mutually decided that that given her frial condition, we will not do invasive treatment. Let her just live out her life without another surgery. I have attached a sample report of his of April 2019. While he has stated that there are no fresh problems, regular medication and regular doppler tests have been stressed. 3. We used to do regular checkup with Dr Poonam (every month). One such sample report is attached here. This was Dec-2018 where she speaks about Cancer in right breast, and that her Tratuzumab treatment has started from 2017 (post her chemos). She also recommended regular mammogram etc, and followup 4. Beginning 2019, my mom has had a relapse of carcinoma. We did not want to put her thru chemo once again in her life, because of the trauma it had caused her the first time. As an alternative, we wanted to offer non-allopathy. At the same time, given my own reluctance to try out non-allopathy, we took a middle route – Dr Premakumari(same name as my mom) is a Cancer Specialist at Kidwai. She believes in natural therapy, but recommends it in non-official capacity since she is a qualified “allopathy” cancer doctor. Hence we have trying that route also. 5. Right from 2019 onwards, we have got indications from our local doctors (Dr Ramesh Gurumoorthy, Ulsoor) that all my mom needs now, is palliative care, since carcinoma has entered other body parts. She suffers from unbearable backpain, and her weight has come down to 32 kg now (from 43 kg). She is now with me in my village. As i am drafting this mail, I have come down to Chennai to enlist my relatives help ( they are in chennai) to accompany me back to blr to be with my mom for her last few weeks/ months (?). Also, my uncle had a reference at Adyar Cancer institute ( Dr Jayachandran), who i am to meet, strictly for palliative recommendations. ———– I can prepare an entire dossier, but Saju had asked me to quickly send some kind of documentation. This is all I had in my person, and i am due to get back to my village in a day. I hope this suffices to show my earnestness towards closing out my Citi liability, after which i want to be free to focus on my mom health/final period. To repeat what i had promised Saju. Assuming Citi kindly accepts my offer of 1.84, I promise to settle and pay in the next few mins of your consent. Looking forward — just to update u. subhajit biswas sir from bangalore office ( 080-61636458) called and spoke to me. i explained the 6-month history and also our last 2 months interaction to him once again, and also about the 1.84 L figure (for which we hv been waiting for final approvals). he has also given me his email id. i assume that saju sir and subhajit sir will quickly revert on where and how i pay the settlement amount ( i live 200 km away from blr, but can come over in a few hours notice). i checked my mails also – no communication so far. This is to keep both in loop. I dont have Subhajit Sir whatsapp number, so only email. regards, sathish (98867-30012) ps – citi mumbai also called me in afternoon 1-2 times (their tollfree no). i cud not take the call because i was in covid vaccination center
