- 8c When I went to Chennai this time, I had a meeting with coopra Raman. I was actually free from my meeting at the pension office by 3.30 pm and when I called him, he was busy. But then he called me back at 7 pm as I was about to leave for a mall visit and then I decided to skip it and meet him instead. He came to the place of stay which was Littlemount metro station. We met right by the metro parking lot and then after a little bit of debate, we decided to walk towards the other side where it started raining and then we went to the first place we could find which was the Bloom 4 star restaurant and hotel and this incidentally was right opposite my place of stay which was Sai Guesthouse. So we went inside, it looked nice and posh and yellow and we asked for the coffee shop. There was a bare coffee shop on the ground floor in one corner mostly serving beer and drinks but then we asked if they give coffee and tea and a little bit of snacks. So therefore we sat down in one cozy corner and started generally talking. We spent about an hour or two there, talked about a variety of topics. One was about the MIT courses which Raman had undertaken especially with reference to physics and the kind of incisiveness and analytical strength which went into these courses, the kind of exposure which the profs give the students. So there was some talk about it for Niharika and Nisha. I told Raman about the question papers being set for Nisha currently at IIT Madras. The second topic of course was about the recent occurrence at NAPAD where my cousin Ashwat is about to get engaged to a girl from the Devar community. The details of which have already been given to Mohan. So this is a big scandalous incident which is currently happening at NAPAD. So we once again went through the possibility of this happening to one of our children and I continued to be a bit broad-minded while Raman stuck to his guns. This was the second topic we spoke about. The third was about Nisha having some fun in her hostel room with her friends with perhaps a couple of pegs of liquor. Raman did not take very kindly to this and his view was that one should not indulge in any alcohol till one passes out of college. I bought his point in half and have promised him that I will discuss this gently with Nisha when the time comes. We also briefly discussed about finances, about net worth of people, about earnings, about wealth and capital protection and some general thoughts about it. We also covered the event of Raman’s mom’s demise, the trachea problem, the overlooking by the doctor and that particular kind of thing which happened several years back. Raman was in Chennai for the weekend because there was a meeting scheduled with the MD of Ramanayam Developers for the Nanganallur flat. He has a 2BHK which he shares with nine others but two of them have taken the lead to meet this developer for redevelopment efforts for the flat. Raman is reporting to a Korean at his company Samsung SDS. He was wearing the Samsung blue uniform and mentioned that his company was quite technology focused. There is a new technology term called MCP which is the current buzzword, some protocol which is very similar to API, application protocol interface. So, this MCP is the buzzword for AI integration of various software. In fact, the software which I am using now is also an example of AI. So, it I think merges Google speak along with the documentation app and makes my speech less cluttered and in points. So, MCP is going to be the future. We discussed about that and he sort of compared how TVS was vis-a-vis Samsung. He seemed to be quite happy. He had gone to Noida for a day just three days back for a client visit but unfortunately did not have the time to meet up with Sundar. He was staying at Four Seasons or Four Sheraton at Noida. He mentioned about his team at Samsung. He works with a team of eight or nine people spread across South India. So, his role is business development plus a lot of technical analysis with respect to the automotive industry. For example, there are some machine parts which need a particular kind of packaging, load balancing, center of gravity. So, technical physics is involved towards suggesting a solution to the customer. So, he mentioned that there are tools which are today available where you just input the dimensions or the specifications and the tool suggests the kind of packaging and logistics supply chain. So, a bit of interesting discussion happened there. We had ordered Gobi Manchurian, one filter coffee which was out of the world and one more item. I forgot which one. Anyway, three items costed 1100 rupees and Raman took the entire tab and hit. He refused to have me pay for it and thank you Raman for the treat. So, after meeting around 7 pm, we finally took leave of each other at 9.30. He summoned an auto right by the bloom. It started raining once again but the auto was supposed to take him to St. Thomas Mount station from where he would take a metro to Kurumpet. So, the two particulars in Chennai are Raman’s office is in Alandur and his house is in Chrompet. He has taken a 2 BHK on rent from his cousin, barely furnished apartment on 15,000 rupees rent or so. He does his own cooking in the morning. He gets up very early in the morning and does his own cooking and leaves for office by 7.30 pm and does not have anything during lunch time. Evening he returns and has some kind of snacks from Madras coffee house or some place. So, essentially he has one proper meal in a day. So, he takes care of his health that way. And Priya at Bengaluru manages the entire affairs of the household very ably and takes care of Gautam as well
- 8f jan 2026 – RENEWAL OF RENT AGREEMENT (“RAGR”) Terms Used “RAGR” : Renewal of Rental Agreement “PROP” : The Property Address is “MGA”, Site 100 & 101, 5th Cross, Devin Paradise Enclave, Bengaluru-560064 “LL” : Lessor / Landlady / First Party is Ms Prema Narayanan, Aadhaar no = 4930-2956-7440 (also includes her only heir,son and successor Sathish Narayanan, Aadhaar no = 8991-5786-6635) “TNT” : Lessee / Tenant / Second Party is Ms Swathi Suresh, Aadhaar no = 1. LL has absolute legal ownership of PROP, which is a fully compounded rectangular area measuring approx 6000 square feet, which houses a two-storeyed building and a covered 2nd-floor terrace, plus car parks, sheds, sit-outs etc. The building essentially comprises of two 2BHK units, one on ground floor and one in the first floor. 2. TNT has taken entire PROP on rent for monthly rent of Rs 40,793 ( Rupees Forty thousand, seven hundred and ninty three only) per month. Rent is payable FOR THAT MONTH on or before 7th. 3. Deposit amount originally given to LL is Rs 74,000 ( Rupees Seventy four thousand only). 4. RAGR Current block is Jan 14, 2025 to Dec 13, 2026. Every subsequent block of 11 months duration, the rent increase is 5%. 3. Either LL or TNT can terminate RAGR with one-month written notice. LL will return Deposit within 7 days of vacating (less deductions). 4. TNT is free to use/sublet PROP in any manner as she wishes. But no illegal activities, no sub-renting for commercial purposes (exceptions = TNT’s own own office / flatmates subrenting – with no board), no structural modifications. Peaceful occupation without objection of any kind from neighbours and community, is a must. 5. LL takes care of Property Tax, BWSSB charges including Cauvery Water Connection, KEB junction box issues (outside the compound) and KEB deposit. LL also is responsible for structural / building matters. 6. TNT is responsible for paying Association maintenance. She is also responsible for all inside-compound amenities and utilities be it repair / servicing / repurchase / installation (including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry, structural utilities like sump), KEB monthly bills etc. 7. TNT will allow LL or representative to enter PROP for structural repair, or during vacation-notice period for inspection by prospective tenants, to a reasonable extent. 8.
