An elderly couple, moved to an old age home last month by their son, were found hanging inside their room on Tuesday. The deceased have been identified as R Krishnamurthy, 81, and K Radha, 74. Hailing from Madurai in Tamil Nadu, they were initially residing with their son K Vijay, director of a tech firm in the city, and his homemaker wife at an apartment in Doddakallasandra. On May 18, they walked into Kamalamma Ramakrishnappa old age home in Talaghattapura. The twin deaths came to light on Tuesday morning when an attendant, who went to serve tea to the couple, knocked on the door of their room. Upon receiving no response, the attendant peeped through the ventilator and found the two hanging, police said. The old age home officials alerted the cops, who rushed to the spot and broke open the door, but both were dead by then, an investigating officer said. Cops said they did not come across any death note from the spot or any message on the couple’s mobile phones. Vijay later filed a police complaint, claiming his parents wished to move to an old age home as they did not like the food cooked by his wife at home. “My parents were not liking the food prepared by my wife. Also, there were differences between us. So, my parents moved to an old age home in Byatarayanapura in 2021. They returned home in 2023. However, as they again complained about the food, I moved them to this old age home on May 18 this year,” Vijay said, adding that he suspected it to be a case of suicide. He further said: “I was told that on the night of June 23, my parents had a heated argument about watching TV. Later, they had dinner together and went to bed. But, on June 24 (Tuesday) morning, they were found hanging.” Elders Helpline 1090 received 41,343 calls between April 2022 and March 2025, all from within the city. A significant number of these complaints pointed to ill-treatment by close family members — primarily sons and daughters-in-law, Bengaluru city police records reveal.  A humble submission – So far, that “cheap person” has always been feeling alienated because modi ( and his team) has almost always spoken in a language alien to him, even when he goes abroad. Really hope that the genuine hug which transcended the language barrier, acts as a new start for the future. Peace. Wud love if BJP/leadership introspects on why that insensitive joke at such a delicate time was triggered at all (possibly from a deeply alienated community), rather than just dismiss it as a cheap stunt. This is a nice cosy family group, happy to take it offline! The hugging led to the nasty joke which led to ur pounce which led to my seeking introspection. That is the correlation. As regards the escape, as a much older ( not necessarily wiser) member, I have experienced in the past when group discussions turn unnecessarily nasty, in full public view and led to seniors feeling v umcomfortable, and hence my request for “offline”. Wud love to interact directly with u on whatsapp or any other mechanism, and take it forward, if that is what u finally want! Peace, and repeat again, will not comment on this topic in THIS GP Thanks for the video on jaya. Corrupt or not, a Tigress, in every sense of word.and TN misses her badly today, especially the last 2 weeks! Am absolutely fine, after 6 rods, 12 screws, 3.5 hours of surgery! Need all ur blessings to overcome my present pain Actually lakshmi aunty made me forget all the pain ! Thanks, thanks and thanks to everyone! All of us were joking so much,i remembered vadivelu dialogue V good golu arrangements. I was actually remembering ammamma golu technique – when helping her, she used to explain the name of the golu, history etc. I actually learnt a lot about our mythology, the various characters, the many stories incl ramayana, vishnu avataarams etc. So v useful for young children to understand our culture etc Free tip – watch thalaivar’s legit videos, whenever u are in pain ( physical or mental) Also some nice london photos from thalai pudhalvan? Unga kitta call panna, full napad-kku call panna maadhiri Fully agree with you, cheenu maama. Universally loved by one and all. Friend, philosopher, guide. Selfless and ever helping nature. Am sure he had a role in selecting the name Cool! The 2 singams – sam and ram We all just tasted the full set of batchanams – paal paayasam, obbattu, aambode, chitra-anna etc ! Great memories, murali maama. Is the friend shankar? Appappa was a fantastic public speaker, especially marriage functions. I still remember the madurai kittu kakka marriage event ( geetha), he spoke for half an hour imm after muhurtham, and the whole crowd clapped for him so much after his speech when i was 7 or 8, YOU took me to kalaivaanar arangam, vr nedunzhezhian. Really enjoyed it inspite of my young age!!! Great old memories sorry cheenu maama – was bit busy during day (after long time !) 1. message to entire napad – today “darbar” movie poster released, so cheenu mama is in high mood. movie release is for pongal. 2. in my opinion, appappa’s vaarisu is gv aunty (lady superstar cum nayantara of napad). all the brothers, sisters and spouses are also equal superstars ! 3. all cousins have lots of memories (old batch and new batch) of napad. i really suggest this point – at napad postal colony (either 1st or 2nd floor), we can have one large photo frame (large collage) with about 20-30 “selective” old photos in a “collage” format – maybe with v simple thalaippu for each photo. this can be put in hall or anywhere else. so we can do a guided tour for any newcomers to napad (malayalam wife of aditya, for example!) – can become familiar with napad history when they visit “padma piemoney house”. 4. i always remember the movie “thavamai thavamirundu”, where, after rajkiran passes away, the grandchildren start to write about the entire family history, some stories etc. no idea if this is practical, but some younger generation napadian can take up this project?. atleast can someone get a family chart ready ? abinaya’s child will surely have a hard time understanding and remembering names, relationships etc as he/she grows up Happy to see your photos in full pilgramage mood today, with mom, baby, fil etc. Have a wonderful year ahead. warm anniv greetings to the lovely australian couple. have a wonderful year(s) of togetherness, ahead hope u guys are not too impacted by the bush fire events nearby. Do take care Aunty – is the year 1984 – before construction of NAPAD ? is that appaswamy ? Warm wishes to indu aunty, who is celebrating her birthday with us in bengaluru! Best wishes for healthy, happy years ahead Today’s business news in Times of India – Warm congrats to Arvind (who is one of the 18) Goldman Sachs has promoted 18 executives in its Bengaluru office to the managing director position. Globally, 465 were promoted as MDs The investment bank said the MD promotion cycle is biannual and MDs are just 7% or less of the entire workforce. MD is the second highest level at the firm. There are around 2,500 MDs globally. The highest level at the firm is partner, which is roughly 1% of the firm. Goldman Sachs employs more than 36,000 professionals globally. Of the 465 executives promoted as MDs, 29% are women, and 34% identified as ethnic minorities and LGBTQ, the highest percentage recorded in the organisation’s history. These new managing directors will take charge on January 1. Goldman Sachs employs over 5,000 people in Bengaluru, the third largest office by headcount – after New York and London – and the second-largest by number of engineers, after New York. Earlier this year, it inaugurated a new Bengaluru campus, built with an investment of $250 million (Rs 1,750 crore). The facility is spread over 1.2 million sqft and can accommodate 7,500 people. The agreement allows the company to take additional space later to expand the capacity to 9,000. The Bengaluru operations started in 2004. 17/11/19, 12:56 pm – Sathish: Am really going to invite myself to mugalivakkam one of these days for a re-telecast. Take care. suggestion to cheenu maama to reach murali maama – u shud keep on trying him 5-6 times and then maybe u can reach him ! he keeps traveling all the time and is on the road for every single day, even at this age ! he is total opposite of raghu maama ! whenever i call raghu maama, he will be at home whenever i call murali maama, he will be on the road Grand lunch! Looking forward to meeting most of u this new year, on feb 7. Take care, cheers. Looks like a snap straight out of one of those lifestyle or film magazines, with all good looking actors and actresses! Sastha’s family trademark smile must already be creating enough ripples in the US! You deleted this message *thanks to viji chikkamma and murali maama * – all of us in napad are learning about all these temples and religious places. as an chennai-born, even i did not know about iskcon in chennai. viji chikkamma covering chennai and suburbs, murali maama covering rest of south india ! great route chosen by viji chikkamma and her friends – but there are so many good beaches nearby this route, and looks like they will be missing them!! prema amma said happily – “early morning 3am to 6 am i saw vaikunta ekadesi on TV(tirupathi and other temples). During day i saw vaikunda ekadesi on whatsapp!” Saw ASN, day 3, kannada version. I still remember that inspite of being a rajni fan, I cud not sit thru 2.0. Now ASN was even more vera-level! 😁😂( maybe getting v old😇) the little that i know about history of napad (from the time “na” and “pad” were born!) 1.palavadi, palacode and paapparapatti are close to each other (maybe 20-30 km distance). all in dharmapuri district, and i think pennagaram taluk. so sometimes PH is quoted as palavadi harirao, sometimes palacode harirao. napad says it is palavadi but baroda dhodamma family says it is palacode ! 2. narasimhan was born in palavadi, did his school in palacode, then moved to dharmapuri since his father built a house there. then he went to mettur, blore etc before settling in saidapet chennai and then postal colony 3. padma was from karur (heart of TN). sometimes in our family it gets confused with “harur” but harur was her elder sister’s place and not hers. na and pad got married either at karur or sholinganallur (not sure). 4. i have always been told that palavadi venkatachalapathy temple is our main temple. about 7-8 years back, all of us had gone to this temple in a village and took group photo. 5. i dont know about the palacode amman temple.i have also heard about many legends – ie great-great-great grandfather was a doctor in tipu sultan court, name was thipparasaaya. the king gave him one huge village as a gift etc etc. 6.my late father, who is also from the same dynasty, has also told me many stories – about the curse of a nagar-haavu, about one pudayal (treasure) which is still in some village “singipuram” nearby etc. very interesting amar chitra katha type ! will be happy to get more details about our ancestors, family history etc from elders Actually, many old memories coming to me- perambur sundaram, sabalangadi gopal ( delhi LTC), bashyam maami tenant ( sowkiyam… and falling fracture)!!! 14/01/20, 11:47 pm – Sathish: actually viji chikkamma, with her energetic dance and enthu, is the one who is showing us all who is the REAL youth !!! 21/01/20, 3:55 pm – Your security code with murali maama rltv google-contact-taken-from-sa-old-320 changed. Over the weekend, she also met many of her old friends, so it was a very fruitful trip. The napad house was really very nice, with automatic lift, spacious hall, comfortable oonjal, bright open kitchen etc. Wish everyone the best of health. Take care, looking forward to seeing everyone again soon. Feels so nice to see strong political messages here (because it gives me a chance to respond !). But for purposes mentioned much earlier, would be keen to “DM” the relevant folks rather than put it in NAPAD. More than Saaree Maami, it is the “Golden Maami” – Kaasu Maalai, Golden Tiara, Oddiyaanam etc. Anand – golden bangles missing ( pl buy !) warmest bday wishes to adithi. hi archana – pl convey to the child. the thank-u audios were superb, esp the addition of ” thaathas” and “paatis” at the end bulk ordering of bday cakes happening in UK now!! warmest wishes to archana. regards to everyone in family very well-made short video on the function. liked the song a lot (yaayum yaayum from sagaa). great editing which goes with the visuals ! – especially observe from 55 sec to 60 sec – “paakaatha nerathil..” and the “kulungi kulungi” – also 3.14- “kaadal vasapatta arikuriyo” (when nervously showing fingers) warm congrats to Aadi and UPM. great start ! everyone looking so good in the video. i really think we should circulate this video among our whatsapp groups thanks everyone for ur wishes and blessings. warmest regards and thanks again hi mukund bro ( can call u bro because u are also slowly reaching the 40s !) – warm birthday greetings all the best for the function, maama. i assume this is for kaasi and rameshwaram return ?? also looking forward soon for your USA-samaraadhanai, UK-samaraadhanai etc – pl dont mistake me. I saw darbar last week (it is in amazon). i did not like it at all ! totally no logic. Sorry maama !! same rajni – who gave us such great movies like mullum malarum, bhuvana oru.., aarilirunthu…, and later baasha, muthu, annamalai etc 1. cheenu maama, vimala aunty- warmest anniversary wishes ( sorry for late wishes!) 2. small request to napadians ( esp seniors) (pl dont mistake me). corona is now in India, and next 20 days is crucial. pl restrict ( or even better, try to avoid) visits to temples, gatherings, public places. I really hope that i am wrong, but reading about how china and europe are suffering now(inspite of better healthcare, more obedient citizens and less density of population) is making me very nervous. sincere wishes for everyone gud health nithya and all others – really sorry for keeping on sending regular warning messages

corona is a very serious matter. it is very much possible that i am fully wrong – so please please feel free – all of you can make fun of me later on, do as much “kindal” possible on me (later, if i am unnecessarily panicking) but atleast till april 1st week, pl be VERY VERY CAREFUL. europe is in a bad shape today. if india goes thru stage 3/4 etc – then we will have a VERY BIG PROBLEM. checklist of things to be done for lockdown ( we have already done the following at our side in blr) – take grocery for atleast 2 months. in case of non-perishable grocery, u can even keep supplies upto 4-5 months – milk – keep 8-10 packets of tetrapack milk – this is valid for 6 months – in case milk supply goes off – all grocery items which u bring into house -pl clean them and use them – inside ur apartment try not to use the lift. use staircase and do not touch the grills in the staircase – if possible use gloves – if possible, withdraw from atm and keep some 20-30K cash at all times in house – which is ur closest covid govt hospital ? do u have their nos ready with u ? – hand sanitisers – if possible use alcohol sanitiser (+60% alcohol) every 2 hours u can wipe ur hands – keep one sanitiser at door and other in ur dining table or room – so pl keep using them when u remember – make sure that one lpg cylinder is full (the other in use). if possible, keep a induction stove on standby – if possible, keep 1-2 emergency lights on standyby incase electricity goes – if possible, buy 2 water cans (20 ltr) in sealed condition and keep them safe somewhere. open them only if emergency – otherwise use ur corporation water or bore water. also keep 1-2 buckets of water always full. – keep all ur regular and non-regular medicines with u. – imp tip : HCQS-400 (chloroquine) is available in medical shops now. pl buy 1 or 2 strips. Adults – u can start taking 1 tablet every week (after some food). no side-effects, so dont worry ( i have been taking for last 1 week) – pl try to manage house work urself – ask ur maid not to come home – hope u have dettol solution – if possible keep a hand spray and use them every day to spray house – keep ur phones charged all the time (amma has 3 phones now – 08025545455, 9742766951 and also 7975781614) – n95 mask if at all u go outside house for emergency. – ordinary mask if possible inside the house. while this is not useful too much, only advantage is – it will prevent u from touching nose, mouth, eyes somewhat – only 1 person from house goes out to buy any essential items. and when that person comes back home, he goes straight to bathroom to take bath, and clothes to be discarded – pl remember that we are all dependent on outside world for 5 main things – electricity, water, internet, phone and TV cable. pl be mentally prepared – we may lose access to any of these if things go really bad – but also remember that these 5 things will not matter when it comes to our “life” most most important – we in napad are very social and keep meeting our other relatives and apartment neighbours and friends all the time. pl try ur best to avoid any body from coming to ur house, or u going and meeting anybody. today’s nilavaram – it is very much acceptable I am sorry if all this above seems to be “too much” or “over-reaction”. it has already happened in italy and spain. new york is in bad shape today. mumbai (maharastra has 100 cases) is in curfew. karnataka also catching up with lockdown. TN only has 9 cases till now, so they are going slow. many people still not understanding seriousness. but in 2-3 days, TN will also start feeling the virus. So please please start taking precautions imm and if anyone has any other tip, pl let us know ps : over last 2-3 weeks, many whatsapp forwards on treatment, ayurveda, have come to both napad and other groups. these forwards are actually confusing. if anyone is exactly following any of the treatments prescribed, pl let us know abt ur experience. otherwise i think we need to ignore such forwards (and if possible, not send them at all) because it gets more confusing nice to note that all is good with archana and family in the UK. take care in UK, even prince Charles has now tested positive for covid-19! so praying for everyone’s good health abhi – pl note shruti is present admin. but she is an NRI (though in chennai now), so no problem. they will check and see – which person started this gp, who left the gp suddenly, who came back to the gp suddenly, who is in blr (IT capital of world), who is IT person herself etc etc. Based on all these conditions, first thing they will do is to arrest abhinaya I suddenly realised that i have been made an admin of napad whatsapp now !! (alongwith some 7-8 others !). anusha, mukunda welcome ! Abhi is also back in action as our Super-Admin ! Semma comedy ! ok, on a serious note : 1. The news about 52 arrests in dadar etc is fake news. Pl check here – https://www.republicworld.com/fact-check/coronavirus/fact-check-are-52-whatsapp-group-admins-at-dadar-police-station.html 2. Pl dont worry about forwarding useful info about corona. And pl remember that 3 things have to happen – any of us “forwards” our post to someone else PLUS that person “complains” and PLUS only if that post is “objectionable”, then only, there is a concern. 3. So pl chill. No one of us will be arrested. dont worry ! And hope everyone is safe during the lockout. pl take care. 4. My view is this ( i have maintained this view right from March 1st week) – and sorry for being pessimistic – but this is just to serve as warning/preparation to all. a. corona will extend for next 6 months atleast b. India will have big impact. there could be 1 lakh to 2 lakh deaths or even more (5 lakhs?). c. due to social distance and lockdown till april 15, it will APPEAR as if things are in control. So april 15 to may-1st week, we will all feel happy. But again things will explode during May, and many go even worse during june-july. d. I have been talking to a few doctors – friends, relatives etc. All of them are scared, and that gives u an indication. *as usual, my most sincere sorry for being so pessimistic. unfortunately, i dont believe in rumours like indian temperature will kill viruses, we indians are more resistant because of vaccines in childhood etc etc i really want to be fully wrong. i really hope u turn out to be right. but let us anyway be prepared for the worst. for example – u are saying that lockdown will continue. so let us prepare with more stock of essential items etc. U people may think i am so foolish – but i have already done the following – i have given a few blank sheets of signed papers to my family people, i have given all my bank passwords to them, we have discussed a clear procedure in case anyone of us is hospitalised (pl remember – we cannot even see or meet the person in hospital. all the corona victims are dying alone ! ). *in short – i have prepared for the worst situation. i think there is nothing wrong in that maybe i shud explain myself more clearly. pl refer to my old message of 24th march (i had written in the morning. that same night modi declared lockdown). Remember – Italy today survives on “dry rations” (sent by govt to their doorsteps). And people are facing so much hardship there. today, we are all so happy that chintadripet and jayanagagr 4th T block are full of vegetable vendors. But in case of spike in numbers, even this will get shutdown. Supply chain issues from the farm to factory to shop will get worse, which means one by one, these essentials will also keep disappearing. As i said, abhi, i sincerely pray that you are right. And I am NOT panicking, only PREPARING for the worst 07/04/20, 7:42 am – Sathish: hi archana- best wishes on ur anniversary. stay safe and convey my wishes to ur family hi archana-pl convey our warm bday wishes to adhira. this time she has to adjust with cake and food made by her mom at home itself You deleted this message 15/04/20, 5:11 pm – pz d18 venu venugopal dubai relative maama napad cboss uae d18 venu venugopal du: Harvard university is offering 67 courses for free during this pandemic. So this boy sings with all strength – MAATU KAARA VELA…… big breath…. un maatta….. konjam… pathukoda (full breathing and voice goes fully down) (hope seniors remember this boy!) 23/04/20, 6:00 pm – Sathish: very true – hats off to sampa dhoddamma and dhoddappa for the wonderful videos. really enjoyed. again some old memories – when i was 9 or 10, usha taught us youngsters, many songs (lyrics were quite difficult for us then) – one such song we had to sing without taking breath – it was “naan dhaan goppan da nalla muthu devanda.. from ram lakshman movie !. still know the song full by heart! it is an interesting story, actually. u are rite – correct song lyrics is naanthaan goppan da nall muthu “peran” da, mallu katta vandavana. and so on. in those days, we did not have recording or repeat those days – so usha had to remember from oliyum oliyum only. So she taught quite a few lyrics wrongly !. eg : nall muthu devan da.. also in stanza, a few mistakes. but how much ever i try, i can never get the correct lyrics. i can only sing usha’s lyrics actually i again checked just now online – correct is nalla muthu devan da !!! this song now has a new version 35 years later (some new movie). there, to be non-controversial, they have changed to super murali maama, raghu maama super SS family (3 sisters, krishnan bava and SS). Nice to see everyone in the last 2 days. Good to see that this ALEX challenge become VIRAL in our family in just 2 days ( and helped us to forget the virus outside !) ur own amma, in her younger days- asaindaadum was great inspiration. ippo vayasaayiduchu avangalukku!! waiting for ur bday selfie using that 1 lakh camera warmest bday greetings to our chief whatsApp administrator! may u have a great year ahead and open many more whatsapp groups warm anniversary greetings to anusha and ramesh vanguri. have a safe year ahead. happy that we now have a famous instagrammer in our family ( nooshlikes is a big hit!) two weeks back, myself and latha chikkamma were talking about ammamma and her memories. millions of memories, but just sharing ONE. we (all cousins of 60s/70s born) under the nila in the old house, by the well, summer vacation gathering, most uncles still not married – about 20-25 people. now all sitting in round circle. ammamma takes one HUGE vessel, rice plus rasam one full mix with hand, and kai-thuthu is ready. one by one 25 hungry hands asking for kaithuthu. never tasted more tasty food. that too, if palya is there, correct proportion in one side ! and last but not least, the final thuthu = “belebenne baagyavantha”. most tasty benne-like thuthu – still remember that we youngsters used to fight like anything for this bele benne baagavantha from ammamma. unforgettable memories, will share more memories of ammamma later A humble submission – So far, that “cheap person” has always been feeling alienated because modi ( and his team) has almost always spoken in a language alien to him, even when he goes abroad. Surely aunty, in 3 months back of my feet, so dont worry This is how my bone looks now, with all this metal. Am far more valuable now Right leg, chikkamma. I had a fracture 10 years back (hairline). Same place injury when i fell on sunday night, this time complex fracture- two broken bones, 4 cracks etc. Thanks for wishes, chikkamma. Looking forward to the day when malayalam is added to the NAPAD system Eniiku malayalam valliya ariyo, patche ivude napad-le parayaan paadu ille, lo ! Ani looks so excited! Am really going to invite myself to mugalivakkam one of these days for a re-telecast. For me, i want proper Andhra “Hyderabadi” Biryani – additions required = thin fish pieces (preferably mackeral), less than 2 month old lamb, chicken legs brought from Nagpur, beef curry of Murrah buffalo from South Kerala etcAdallam enakku theiyaadhu. That and all i dont know. For me, biryani means only non-veg. And i have eaten all the main types – malabar, awadhi, hyderabadi, thalappakkatti, ambur, dindugal etc. pl come to bengaluru and i will take u to “paradise”, it will take u to paradise Just for everyone’s info – this is the Chakra Maha Kaala Bhairavar temple in Salem, on Trichy road, at Seela nayagampatti. PLEASE PLEASE KEEP IT UP. u are always our inspiration for many things ! dear shruthi and anand – warm greetings from blr. pl accept our warm anniversary wishes. trust “master pragaladh anand” is doing great. Take care. suggestion to cheenu maama to reach murali maama – u shud keep on trying him 5-6 times and then maybe u can reach him ! he keeps traveling all the time and is on the road for every single day, even at this age ! he is total opposite of raghu maama ! whenever i call raghu maama, he will be at home whenever i call murali maama, he will be on the road Grand lunch! Which one- SB aasai dosai? SB grand? Or one of the highway star hotels? snaps wonderful. trust the whole family had a great time ! nice to see the young man APV after a long time – he has grown very tall ! grand food at grand estancia, by the bye-pass ?! and hope the birthday boy controlled his sweets ? hi mukund/sowmya – please convey my warmest anniversary greetings to chikkamma and chikkappa. not sure if they are in chennai or back at srirangam. praying for their health ! my memories now going back to their actual wedding in that very large mantap at parrys (same where sampa also got married), where, as a 10 or 11-year old, I had so much of fun ! warm bday greetings to pramod sudheendra kumar. sure u are gonna have a great happy year ahead, awaiting addition to family. Hi nithya, mukund- pl pass on our warmest bday wishes to sameer. Best wishes for a fantastic bday party, with his younger brother this time! And the bypoll results must be a bonus bday gift, I suppose! viji chikkamma – great photos. u are looking the youngest in the bajana mandali ! murali maama = energy leader of napad boys and viji chikkamma = energy queen for napad girls ! anusha+ramesh / anand+preethi : thanks for the early invite ! pl also inform murali so that he does not schedule any pilgrimage trip during that time ! great invitation card ! first time i am seeing one with QR code ! ( i think it is for automatically loading map location, event calendar etc to your phone !) Amazing dance by the young one, sowmya. Thanks for the video. Warm wishes to all for the new year. 14/01/20, 11:47 pm – Sathish: *actually viji chikkamma, with her energetic dance and enthu, is the one who is showing us all who is the REAL youth 1-great dubai photos 2- cheenu, vimala looking so young and youthful(definitely not like maamiyaar, maamanar!),venu maama with his hairstyle and dye is vera level 3- shows great bonding between the last 2 brothers 4- venu hospitality to batch after batch of Dubai visitors with same enthu- no words to express feelings! 03/02/20, 4:49 pm – Sathish: brought back tearful memories also of many who have left us – ammamma, appappa, my father, baroda street dhoddamma, brinda aunty, malamma…. appappa’s “kurumbu”can be seen in a couple of snaps ! solidaire tv in the back, the old napad hall. murali / venu in the late 70s fashion vijaykanth hair style https://www.newindianexpress.com/cities/bengaluru/2020/jan/19/techies-break-language-barriers-through-coding-2091493.html anirudh, satyanarayanan’s son, is a bigtime coder at blr now. many achievements, and he is only in 11th std! warmest congrats to him and family both prema amma and myself have reached bangalore back safe. *thanks once again to cheenu maama and anusha/anand for the wonderful functions*, and amma was really happy to meet all her relatives. I really hope that i am wrong, but reading about how china and europe are suffering now(inspite of better healthcare, more obedient citizens and less density of population) is making me very nervous. sincere wishes for everyone gud health nithya and all others – *really sorry for keeping on sending regular warning messagessorry again for covid message- cases are increasing in tn/chennai. will peak in coming weeks/months. only way to avoid to MINIMIZE travel outside home. so pl work out strategy/diet change* where u can stock dry provisions( higher shelf life) more and depend less on wet provisions. so lesser visit to market means lesser contact so lesser probability. simple maths. pl excuse if u feel different. I feel food strategy is now most important!

Pls accept our heartfelt condolences. I recall uncle as soft-spoken and mild-mannered who was loving and compassionate. He represented the quintessential educated class who was aware of society’s inequalities in class, wealth, education and one who used his privilege to serve the under-privileged and uplift them in his own way.

I have witnessed his several interactions with drivers, security staff and other support staff at Sai temple and your home and he was always soft and kind to them without being obvious about them.

During the Pradosha Pooja/Rudrabhishekam-s and Kovai-Jayaram Anna’s bhajans, I could admire his full participation and support, but never over-the-top. It is a trait that can be emulated by the next and younger generations.

He has lived a full-life as prescribed in our shastra-s and has been a full recipient of its phala now and in the other world.

I am reminded of a quote of Rudyard Kipling in an other context, but one I feel so apt for uncle “Could walk with the kings yet not lose the common touch” .

Losing a parent and dear father is a loss that is hard to accept and fill, life will never be the same again, but we can take solace that his sufferings have ended.

Our pranams and prayers for sadgati…kindly pass on this message to dear aunty and sharanya.

i really want to do some “back-testing”. i want to take samples of several kinds of much-married couples, ie those who lived to old age happily with each other, those who kept on fighting with each other, those who divorced, those where 1 spouse died of accident/unexpectedly midway etc. i want to put these jaadhagams thru an expert and figure out how accurate the back-test predictions are, vis a vis the actual happenings. can u help? o we have an AI tool to study a jaadagam thoroughly and list out all the features/future, plus and minus etc. ie we just feed the dob and place of birth, and it gives out the entire jaadagam ( like how vaithy maama used to be an expert in)?

guys – of the 100 blogposts of a blogpage that i send, i guess most would be relevant to us. the ones totally irrelvant wud occupy v less space. For eg, in h013, am just going from top cursorily, just as an example – 1 – religious, so for coopra2- how to handle this landlord – advice sought3 – gen4- nego with a tenant which u may find useful6 – the iima insurance taken by me7-21 – mostly about sundar family22-38 – mostly my personal / prema snapsand so onDo hope folks dont miss these gems :eg – 44 – tanjore painting rajani project ( to be done) inspired by jasmini48 – where i got my e-khatha for one of the properties73 – sundar wishes for my anniv at nz from india77 – homam at my house, for coopra87 – revathi aunty100 – actionables for kaca

thanks much for the time and lunch during our (Simran and I) visit this afternoon…! it was very nice to meet-up with Kiran, Siva, you and mami…! enjoyed the starter (lemon juice) followed by puliyodarai, aviyal, rasam, pappadam and curd rice…and the short chit-chat…our warmest wishes to Kiran and Siva and thanks for the seemandam invitation on 13th July, Sunday. The same day when the punyahavachanam and naamakaranam is scheduled for Aishwarya and Ram’s daughter…the baby looks so pretty, small and cuddle-friendly…! 🙂Wishing the seemantham and valai-kaapu function the very best.

since braava is leaving in a day ( and kaca has taken no action so far), can we all meet somewhere near lore for a cup of coffee, sometime tomorow?

why is no one addressing the elephant in the room ? rather than pull me up, pl do these things –

  1. if u send snaps on whatsapp, pl give instruction to NOT post them publicly
  2. pl tell them NOT to post “public-urled” snaps on social media
  3. better still, pl teach the 20-yr olds how to set privacy settings on socmed, ie teach them tech

but my worry is the opposite. ur low wit/IQ is causing so much loss to TVS SCL. at least 3-4 cr by way of CTC, and another 20-30 cr by way of opportunity cost ( incase u didnt understand this : someone else in place of coopra wud hv gotten them 30 cr extra revenue) u are a COO with 3 cr package. i expect u to talk logic, pl. what is this “ventilation” u are talking about ( in the context of a public url). if u dont write bk intelligently, i will be too frustrated to reply pl give me ONE GOOD REASON why people keep the door open, UNLESS they WANT people to peep inside

gave a gap of one full day after my 75:56 run, so today 26 june 2025, started my run at 530pm approx at ganesha, finished by 650 or so.

blue nike shoes, vaseline, full bottle water, blue socks, amazon prime karnan movie. fan, light on.

began with flourish, 10kmph so did 1 km in 7.04 mins with some break at 6.2 kmph. 2km in 14 min approx, 3 km i remember i did within 21.40 or so. moved between 8.8 kmph and 8.5 kmph, and a few gaps of 0.08 km at 6.2 kmph.

finished 4km at 29.30 or so, did 5 km at 36 min, closed 6 km at 43-odd mins, 7 in 51 mins, 60 min i had clocked 8.15km this i remember clearly.

8.15 at 60 has been my best in recent past, so just went for it at 8kmph and alternated to 6.3kmph fast walk. so wa able to close 10km at exactly 74.40, broke the 75-min barrier.

10km in 74.40 has been my best time in last many years. every kg weight loss helps i suppose. i remain 75 kg weight. assuming i can move to 70kg i think i shud be able to do 10km in 70 mins

so, my goal is now 70kg, 70 minutes (10km run). a month from now, perhaps. lets see

👆ONLY THAT PHOTO WHICH IS IN PUBLIC VIEW – REPEAT – NO LOGIN TO FB EVEN – HAS BEEN USED IN MY BLOGPOST.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHETHER FB HAS A POLICY OF 3 PHOTOS ALLOWED OR 30 PHOTOS ALLOWED. THE URL GIVES ANYONE, REPEAT ANY NON-USER OF FB, ANY TOM AND HARRY TO VIEW THIS SNAP, SO I HAVE COPY-PASTED INTO MY BLOG. WUD LOVE TO BE CHALLENGED ON THE PROPRIETY OF WHAT I HAVE DONE hasina – no use scolding us. instead, u shud scold that girl not to post “public-setting” photos with ani. u shud scold the big pitcher pub owner to firewall his cctv feeds better. u shud tell ur friends to properly mark privacy settings on fb. u shud tell zukerberg to show more restraint !

Dear BSLI /Max Life/CSB/Axis Bank Friends/Ex colleagues,

With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we share the sad news of the passing of our dear ex-colleague and friend, Sujith Sashidaran. 🙏

Sujith, fondly known as Sujith.S, served as the Area Sales Manager at Birla Sun Life Insurance, managing the Catholic Syrian Bank (CSB) Banca Relationship between 2006 and 2011. He was a pillar of strength and played a key role in nurturing strong bonds with the Kerala Zonal and branch teams. His passion, leadership, and relentless drive were instrumental in taking the CSB Kerala team to great heights.

Sujith’s efforts led many of our colleagues to an unforgettable offsite in Goa, Dubai, Singapore and Bangkok, and he was recognized as one of the top-performing ASMs during his tenure at BSLI. He later joined Max New York Life to lead the Axis Bank partnership, where he once again proved his mettle by turning around the relationship and becoming a top performer. Sujith continued to remain a valued part of Max Life.

Sadly, after battling an unknown illness for the past few years with immense courage, Sujith embraced the divine this afternoon.

Let us all come together as former teammates and friends to offer our heartfelt prayers and condolences.
May Sujith’s soul rest in eternal peace, and may his family find strength during this time of profound grief

( by sending bday animation videos).both vijis are so similar warm congrats to shwetha, harish. most importantly, both doing great health. to more explain gv aunty comment- “harirao, narasimha rao, raghu rao, harish rao, newborn”. this child is even more special- first male vaarisu in whole thipparasaya and pauparapatti clan of narasimhan warmest wishes on ur birthday. all of us in napad need ur wisdom, energy etc for many more decades. so look forward to your taking best care of ur health and providing us with ur guidance as the “mootha thalaivi”! have a relaxed and wonderful yr ahead dear viji bava and chikkamma – best wishes on ur anniversary. u have been the most fantastic parents in napad, and we younger parents always look up to you for inspiration. and going back to old memories, i still remember in 1978 or 79 (or 80?), during ur anniversary celebration at ooty, i was with u on vacation and we went to movie – thikku theyiraada katril. i had a wonderful time with u -police quarters near the ooty vegetable market, i think as u know, i have a fondness for napad history. so quiz for abhi/youngsters full name of Mr R in RV? what was his trademark accessory (hint = “manja pai”)? which street was his big corner house in (hint = “n”, which was also close to 36, n street) was he just like GV aunty or opposite (ie soft-spoken??) wishing anand all the best. at the age of “chattees”, he has ventured out to a new “ghar”. hats off to his spirit, and pl take gud care, and please feel free to take any of our support if reqd hi archana – pl convey our best wishes to doctor *Aiyya*. With covid hugely slowing down in UK, am sure the *4 A’s* are finally going to have great celebrations – Sathish: warm bday wishes, aswath. Wishing that this year and ur work/achievements herein, take u to the next level in ur life/career. Take care hi harish/shwetha – cute snap ! its a great new phase of life, and enjoy while it lasts ! the first few months are going to be tiring but also will give the most happiness ! Trust the function went well today Again a NAPAD history story : When Anusha was born, Murali mama (if my memory is right) ( with his friend – i think Shankar) – he wrote a nice poem about newborn children – “with a new baby,ur nights get longer, clothes get dirtier, house gets noisier etc etc”. He then pasted this at the door of the front bedroom in NAPAD old house. Not sure if anyone remembers this harish chetaan – 1. fuel bill – ur favourite bunk can easily give u handwritten bills. make sure u take the bills undated, and then use the same pen to write various dates. u can take it for same std amount (eg Rs 1000), since most car owners usually fill this way. u may pay a few hundreds as “tips” to the bunk attendant and he will tear from his receipt book and give u. u need to go to a bunk which still has hand-written format and not printed (ie IOC and IBP – not HP or BP). if u want permanent solution, then small printing press which can print for u a fuel bunk voucher book. in case u want consultancy on even more unethical routes, pl contact my friend anusha at chennai 2. *am sending an advt on my flat for rent at chennai. grateful if you guys can send to ur friends/colleagues/contacts/others. this place is fully furnished (and with internet as well), so no need for shifting thalaveli given the lockd
