And sincere apologies for butting in without personal context ( neither am in the industry nor am I a life member – atleast as yet). But I feel that Batra’s participation in the thread was in absolute good faith. Honestly we can do much better, than to take repeated veiled swipes at the “leadership” ( which a layman wud deduce as being loaded with personal agendas), at the expense of Batra/Vibha’s sincere intents. Not seeking a continuation of this slugfest, but rather a simple introspection. Once again bow to your sharp approach to various issues in the past. X2-very sweet voice, shruthi. krishna nicely invited into the house ! and very nice photos alongwith the song (and in sync also – eg the “ponguzha” lyric when krishna is shown with the cows). maybe “master PA” at home was an inspiration for u to sing this ! eagerly waiting for film songs from ur side

X3-completely agree with this approach. Many children today are actively trained for various sports, and having controlled access to the gym can complement their fitness routine. A structured “learner’s permit” model with strict rules would ensure both safety and discipline. This way, kids can benefit from the facilities without compromising on safety standards

X4-anand and murali maama- *hats off to both the costume designer and the model!* at napad, we are really proud of both mom and daughter ( am sure the grandmom also helped in makeup). everything – ie the dressing as well as the poses have come out beautifully. to be saved and stored for a lifetime not able to remember receiving the seed balls. sorry to have missed. wud have loved to plant them. trust things are great at ur end at c’gard. napad will be eager to hear about ur North/interior india experiences-the hindi communication problems, the cultural differences, ur “madrasi” tag, the food and how u are managing etc. when u find time, do write a long note. and if possible, some photos of ur factory ur town etc

X5-great to know Anjana’s upcoming program. am also eager to hear from the esteemed panelists ! 1. can u later send a youtube link later of the “recorded” program ? reason – YT Live only does “autogenerated captions”. as someone who does not understand american accent, it wud really be great if a “manually transcripted” CC is inserted later on YT, so that we can catch every word! 2. i will also send link to my friends/contacts. grateful if any brief profile of AAC is given, to give them the correct context

X6-I never asked for “translation”! my request was – the program is in YouTube ” live”. anjana and most others’s accent may be difficult to follow, so I will anyway switch on the “autocaptions” mode, which gives automatic subtitles. the problem here is – the accuracy is quite less, ie about 70% max, since it generates subtiles real time. on the other hand, many YouTube videos have “uploaded subtitles” where the uploader also uploads the manual “text transcript” of the video, so that correct subtitles appear during the course of video. in fact, this is how I see English movies on TV in India ( I never watch without English subtilte, bcos I simply can’t understand otherwise). hope my qn 1 is clear now. qn 2 ( repeat)- is anjana doing the program towards any course requirement? if so, what are her interests? what are her career aspirations etc? so a small intro wud help us contextualise better, is what I thought 1. it was an excellent effort by anjana and team, and warmest congrats. there must also have been lots of learnings/gaps also which can be implemented in future endeavours. but superb start ! 2. “full notes” of the program are given below (it wud help those who did not attend, and also those like me who dont follow american english too much !). pl do add any imp points that i wud have missed. 3. my suggestion is to request your video uploader (tvasia) to quickly “disable comments”. for those of u who are IT leaders, u wud understand this pt better – the topic keywords themselves attract unnecessary and inappropriate *spam-bots*. so lets stay safe, online as well

X7-abhi – i read all ur poems today. after going thru all, i cud only think of srikanth in nanban (wild life photographer, who was forced to take up engineering !). but no harm done. we will still await ur publication of “collection of abhi poems” and it shall become a best-seller – most poems are about a significant life event/person. shows ur deep sensitivity – my personal favourite is “amma”. it was fantastic. – there are a few ones like “miss to mrs” which can be vastly improved ! – invariably, ur punch-lines (climax at end of poem) work well, and great ! – some of the poems show ur state of mind – rumination, introspection – and they are the best of the lot – a big positive – ur poems are so simple and easy to digest, and talk of everyday matters – small suggestion – pl do not be always feel compelled to make the line endings rhyme all the time – just go with the flow ! – sometimes of course a reader might have different opinions abt ur views (eg – blr vs chennai), but then, the poet has the last word

X8-sathyanarayanan’s (venu maama bil) son “anirudh” has today been selected as the “Science badge holder” of his school, NPS Indiranagar. This post means – he has got the top Student Post for the school’s science group i have a small suggestion for all. i wrote this in march, again writing this now. *pl keep 2 sets of PPE (personal protection equipment) at home. you can order from amazon or anywhere else if u want. in my opinion, best one is 3M kit. It costs around Rs 1300 per set*. After putting on PPE, we can immediately come to anyone’s help *without risk of infection or hesitation*. Preparation is always better. pl remember that it will be another 2 years before vaccine is actually injected into our bodies (best scenario). So we need to face another 2 years – pl remember. Pl excuse if i have said anything wrong. I also feel it is a good idea to start a viral chain (like the “kanmaniye song”) and motivate everyone to immediately buy PPE kits for their houses

X9-all of us are are also feeling very helpless about not being able to help. so our biggest help to our family is- PREVENT ANY MORE CASES esp SENIOR CITIZENS. for this purpose, all precautions as usual – ie mask, sanitiser. PPE I hv already told. next is FACE shield ( vega brand if possible). pl see photo for reference. for viji plus bava, I feel that we can do these things- 1. DO NOT call their nos, or daughters nos. they will call if they need anything. let them pl focus on things. 2. if possible, pl arrange a hotel/room next to kings hospital where satish can stay 3. any empty flats in napad – to be made avlble so pl inform family accordingly. eg – my flat in lakview rd is avlbe. any of us can use this place with key from security person by just telling them codeword “sudha”. we can use this, golden Jubilee etc as our own quarantine centers, even AFTER the treatment. 4. I remember that few years back, raghu mama proposed ” health fund” for napad. somehow we missed accumulating. now is the time to ask for contribution from everyone for this “napad health fund” for those who don’t hv enough insurance or where there is immediate cash requirement 5. keep ready 2 or 3 agencies in chennai who will provide nurses/helpers. similarly 2-3 caterers, sanitation agencies etc. if we hv this ready database, one of us can easily coordinate. 6. one youngster with vehicle can be designated to assist satish. he can do errand work for bringing, taking saaman etc 7. i hope everyone has taken covid insurance. I also hope all of us hv identified which hospital to immediately go to, if we are sick 8. experience is teacher – sachin can list ( if possible) all issues faced by sampa, dhodappa, and how each was handled. this will help in current case. _——- Would request others to contribute with ideas to help viji family ( new ideas apart from koottu praarthanai and kabaasura kudineer which anyway all of us are doing)
