varalaaru – prema born in march 1946, joined workforce at age 17 imm after sslc. 2 years in temp role in post and telegraphs, then permanent job in incometax dept at age 18 or so as LDC lower division clerk, joined in 1965, got 2 promotions – UDC and then tax assistant in 1985. she immediately applied for vrs voluntary retirement after 20 years service, and was relieved from duty on feb 1987, at age 41. she then got involved in ladies club activities and took part in a play where she played role of a rowdy friend – yellow shirt on the right
