X9-varmalakshmi festival snaps by each family – very happy to see all the photos. really great that the traditions were observed inspite of many difficulties outside in road. lot of effort to get all the items from market. lot of enthu by old generation (sampa dhodamma). each house had many big arrangements – decorated thengai, goddess idol, pazham (pomegranate, apple, mango etc) and poo, kuthu vilakku, ilai, palagai decoration, rava laddu and other sweets offered to god (including gv aunty’s favourite 7-cup cake!), aambodai, milk, anna-bele, vazhai ilai, vethalai paakku, full thiri plate, podavai for goddess, paayasam, kolam, etc, etc etc. for first varalakshmi habba of adi-mala, napad celebrated with full force – aachar, festival oota, photographer (mukund), photographer assistant (raghu). it was wonderful seeing all snaps/videos on whatsapp. warm festival greetings to all of you (also for forthcoming ones – thalai aavani aavattam, krishna jayanthi, pillayar chathurthi etc. and as always, take care and stay safe, please
